Nobel & van Wierst
Nobel & Van Wierst | Finishing and interior design | Amsterdam | 1986
Although this project dates back to 1986 it is showcased here because its timeless design still looks fresh. In the middle of the space, flanked by rooms on both sides, a reception desk has been situated as a central island. We opted for a sleek, fresh colour scheme of dark grey and green.
Between the doors of the rooms, closets have been made along the corridor at rhythmic intervals. By finishing off all the corners with wooden slats, the severe look is softened. The ceilings simulate daylight domes so as to interrupt the large surface and provide lighting.
