Jacob Marisstraat, Amsterdam
Haringvlietstraat, Amsterdam | 2004
This house in the style of the 1920’s has been redesigned into a light and modern dwelling while retaining original features like the stained glass windows and the black and white pattern of the tiles in the bathroom. The open kitchen gives a broad view from the dining room on the garden. The walls up to the ceiling are used for (book) cabinets. The white/grey colour scheme radiates a spirit of tranquillity.
A new staircase leads to the roof garden where the residents can enjoy the panoramic view, either sheltered or in the open air.
