Amiriya Madrassa Mosque
Amiriya Madrassa Mosque | Yemen | 2005
Illuminating the domes and the prayer hall with its beautiful murals was a challenging task. The domes had to be lit without the light sources attracting attention. They have been mounted to diagonally-stretched steel threads.
The walls are lit with spotlights, and fixed on light rails around the two central pillars. Honeycomb filters have been applied to avoid the glare of the light. All fixtures are dust-free and easily maintained by using light sources that are obtainable everywhere in Yemen.
