A multimedia map of Amsterdam gives an exciting insight into the development of Amsterdam from its very beginning until the present. This map is visible from all three floors of the museum. Furthermore, visitors can zoom in on their own neighbourhood in specially designed, separate interactive elements.
The newly-made display cases and walls consist of durable materials and are freely linkable. The replacement of objects or subjects can easily be carried out. The spotlights from the ceiling brighten the rooms. The signposting and main texts are rendered in transparencies and lit from behind. In short, there is a lot to see, hear, and to do in the renewed museum. |
