Sun Lounge
Amsterdam Historical Museum
2004
A sun lounge was designed for the boys' courtyard of the Amsterdam Historical Museum. The construction was left completely visible and consists of aluminium and synthetic material. However, this lightweight construction does not in any way effect the monumentality of the building. During openings and events the sun lounge is temporarily set up and is reminiscent of a glasshouse where the public can sit inside, yet have the feeling of being outside.
