| Visitors can walk through and around a central island created in the hall. A choir screen serves as the front partition, while on the end partition medieval wall sculptures are exhibited. Two long rows of glass cases connect the two partitions. The whole design and the use of colour are subdued so as to bring the objects forward.
The level of general lighting meets the conservation requirements for old manuscripts. By applying framing spots on the paintings, reflection from the white walls is prevented. All showcases are equipped with fibre optic lighting. |
